Whileworking as a wildlife conservation advisor to the Mongolia Government, Andrew Laurie followed up on achildhood fascination with White-throatedDippers on the River Neme, near Ludlow, by finding out more about them in the Altai Mountains. They look and behave differently there!We welcome Andrew back to tell us more, and to show a further film whichfeatures their extraordinary behaviour, and captures the excitement of teammembers and local people alike in simple observations of another species.

Hedgehogsare one of our most loved wild animals, but their habitat is under severethreat from many sources. Jenny Sutton,Trustee of Cambridgeshire Hedgehogs, will tell us about their habitat andbehaviour, and what we can do to help and support them in their naturalhabitat, especially in our gardens.

Rob Bakewell, leaderof the Integrated Environmental Team at the Environment Agency, will explainthe role of his Team in addressing the water resource challenge in the Cambridge area, and theprogress so far. Complements our viewing of the film Pure Clear Water earlier in the year.      

Tom Walston, who chairs the Convoy4Ukraine based in Cambridge, will provide us with a first-hand account ofhis time volunteering in Ukraineand driving one of the vehicles used in their latest convoy in March -  and the response from the local communitywhom they are helping.
